David S. Currier, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Currier is the Chief Medical Officer of Capstone Anesthesia Partners and brings over 20 years of experience in both academic and private practice anesthesia. Dr. Currier was born in Iowa and attended school in Iowa, Canada, New York and graduated from Westlake High School in Ohio. He was educated at the Kent State University/Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now known as NEOMED) 6 year B.S./M.D. program which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Currier completed a preliminary internal medicine internship at St. Thomas Medical Center in Akron, OH and a residency in anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University and Indiana University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is licensed in Ohio and Indiana.

While in Indiana, Dr. Currier was Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, as well as the Director of GYN Ambulatory Surgery and OB Anesthesiology. He also served as curriculum scheduler of the residency program and was consistently recognized as a top residency educator. During his tenure at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio he was Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Director of Obstetrical Anesthesiology, Executive Director of the Department of Anesthesiology, Chair of the Anesthesia PI Committee and both Chair and Vice-Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology. He further participated as a PDAT Advisor to NEOMED students, BS/MD Admissions Committee member and Alumni Board Member.

Dr. Currier’s publications include journals and a book chapter (Iatrogenic Neurology-J. Biller). He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, Society of Obstetrical Anesthesia, American Medical Association, and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiology. He resides in Canton, OH with his wife and sons.

Christopher Copley, CRNA

Mr. Copley received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Kent State University before attending Case Western Reserve University and receiving his M.S.N. in Nurse Anesthesia. He has over 15 years of clinical anesthesia experience. Until recently he held the position of Mid-West Vice Chief Anesthetist Officer at NorthStar Anesthesia, where he has since left to pursue other opportunities. In addition to his leadership role at NorthStar Copley holds ownership in two anesthesia practices, both based out of Ohio.

Copley’s teaching experience is as broad as his clinical experience, working as a clinical instructor and guest lecturer at various institutions including SUMMA Health System, Case Western Reserve University and the University of Akron. Beyond his work as a clinician Copley has served as an active and reserve officer in the United States Navy, United States Navy & Marine Corps Reserves, Ohio Air National Guard and United States Army Reserves for more than 23 years. He has since retired from the military and is devoting his time building his new company Capstone Anesthesia Partners, LLC. Copley is based in Aurora, OH where he lives with his wife and four children.

Douglas Jackson, CRNA

Douglas Jackson brings over 24 years of experience in the health care and business. Previously, he was the CEO of two large anesthesia networks where he was the leader in implementing a new, integrated model of anesthesia care delivery.

An architect of global health care delivery, Mr. Jackson has won numerous awards for his reducing surgical case cancellations and delays, improving throughput and OR efficiency, increasing patient satisfaction, improving communication, enhancing quality for improved patient outcomes, and improving financial performance. He has consulted nationally on the most cost effective and highest quality of integrated care. Lauded for this system implementations that have garnered millions of dollars in turnaround earnings, significantly improved cash flow, and increased working capital and substantial increases in managed care rates, he has been recognized as one of the top health care consultants in the market.

Mr. Jackson lives in Ohio and West Virginia with his spouse and two Children.
